Now that the season is about to draw to a close, I would like to thank all of our members who gave up their time to referee this year. Your contribution, although sometimes it seemed the opposite, didn't go unnoticed.

Tips from Peter McNeven.

At the NQ champs I was lucky enough to have Peter McNeven share some words of wisdom with me. With Finals coming up I have made a summary for you!

With Grand Finals now only six weeks away (they'll be played on Saturday August 14), it's time to start refreshing everyone's memory on the expectations that were put in place at the start of this year. I'm referring of course to the Zero Tolerance Policy that was introduced earlier this year.

Over the last few weeks I've been asked by a few referees about their Return of Service so I thought I'd better clear a few things up.

If you have signed a Return of Services agreement with the North Queensland Touch Association, then you must aquire the required amount of points (25) by the set date, which this year is the 1st of August, 2010.

The last few weeks I have noticed that some of our members are not wearing the correct uniform when refereeing. If you are refereeing on fields 1 or 2, you must be in a proper referees shirt and white shirts.

The Townsville Touch Referees Association held a Referee Directors Meeting today to discuss a few points in regards to this season.

For those referees who have not yet completed a Membership Form for the Townsville Touch Referees Association (TTRA), please download one (click here) and do so ASAP.

We have set the dates for the Referee Badge Courses for the 2010 Winter Senior Competitions and are inviting all members of the the club to attend.
